John Searle is the Slusser Professor of the Philosophy of Mind and Language, University of California, Berkeley. He is widely noted for his contributions to the philosophy of language, philosophy of mind and social philosophy. Among his notable concepts are the “Chinese Room” argument against artificial intelligence. He is the author of eighteen books including Mind, Speech Acts and most recently Making the Social World: The Structure of Human Civilization.

Daniel Dennett is an American philosopher and cognitive scientist whose research centers on the philosophy of mind, philosophy of science and philosophy of biology. He is currently the Co-director of the Center for Cognitive Studies and a University Professor at Tufts University. Dennett is referred to as one of the “Four Horsemen of New Atheism”, along with Richard Dawkins, Sam Harris, and the late Christopher Hitchens.
