A Harvard College Professor and the Johnstone Family Professor in the Department of Psychology at Harvard University, Steven Pinker is a Canadian-American experimental psychologist, cognitive scientist, linguist, and author interested in all aspects of language and the mind. He is the author of best-sellers such as The Blank Slate and How the Mind Works. His most recent book is The Better Angels of Our Nature: Why Violence Has Declined.

Daniel Dennett is an American philosopher and cognitive scientist whose research centers on the philosophy of mind, philosophy of science and philosophy of biology. He is currently the Co-director of the Center for Cognitive Studies and a University Professor at Tufts University. Dennett is referred to as one of the “Four Horsemen of New Atheism”, along with Richard Dawkins, Sam Harris, and the late Christopher Hitchens.
